About Sky e-Clinic
What is Sky e-Clinic?
Sky e-Clinic is built on a simple belief: when you are unwell, language should not stand between you and the care you need.
We are a U.S. telehealth practice for non-English-speaking patients — care delivered in your own language, with cultural understanding of how illness, family, and trust are experienced differently across communities.
We launch with Japanese-language care across the United States, drawn from our founding physician's lived experience as a Japanese immigrant in U.S. medicine. We plan to expand to additional non-English-speaking communities on an ordered roadmap through HIPAA-compliant AI-assisted interpretation — preserving, not flattening, the cultural nuance of each clinical conversation.
Transparent upfront pricing. No insurance required. Board-certified physician licensed in every U.S. state where we operate.
U.S. Telehealth Licensing — Why It Matters
📌 U.S. Licensing Requirements
In the U.S., a physician must hold an active medical license in the state where the patient is located — even for telehealth visits.
⚠️ A Consultation Alone Is Enough to Be Illegal
Prescribing is not required for a violation to occur. Listening to symptoms, giving advice, or sharing a medical opinion — all of these count as "practicing medicine." A physician without a valid license in that state commits a serious legal violation the moment they engage in any of these, even without writing a single prescription.
✅ Sky e-Clinic Is Fully Compliant
Our physician holds active licenses in all 50 states + D.C. At launch, services will be offered in 47 states + D.C., excluding NY, KS, and WI (those three states are planned for a later phase). Prescriptions are sent as e-prescriptions directly to your nearest pharmacy — so you can pick up your medication right away after your visit.

Our Physician

今村 太一
Dr. Taichi Imamura, MD
Emergency Medicine — Attending & TeachingWhen you fall ill in a country whose language and healthcare system are not your own, the experience can be disorienting — even frightening. Will the physician understand what I'm describing? Will the culture of medicine here account for how I think about my body, my family, my decisions about care?
I am a Japanese immigrant to the United States, and a board-certified emergency physician practicing here since 2014. Working in English every day, I still felt that same disorientation each time a member of my own family entered the healthcare system. I have seen how often the language barrier becomes a care barrier — symptoms misunderstood, decisions made too quickly, costs that shock long after the visit.
Sky e-Clinic is my response to that experience. We begin with care in Japanese, but the mission is broader: medical care for non-English-speaking communities in the U.S., delivered with the cultural understanding that shapes how each community experiences illness and healing. As we grow, we plan to extend this same standard to additional language communities on an ordered roadmap through HIPAA-compliant interpretation.
Transparent pricing. Clear expectations. Care that respects who you are — not just what you have.
